(Capsella bursa-pastoris): Shepherd’s purse has been used as a medicinal herb since ancient times and is widely recognized as an astringent agent in the body which is documented in many herbal wisdom books. This herb comes to the aid as a recommended treatment for both internal and external bleeding. Internally, it is especially used for menstrual periods with abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding (Menorrhagia) and when there is blood present in urine, stool, and vomit it is found to also be effective in addressing the issue. NOTE: This herb is not recommended for pregnant women.
Tea Remedy: 1 tsp. to 6 oz cup of water, steep for up to 5 minutes.
